American restaurant on Richmond Riverside closes

A restaurant on Richmond Riverside has closed.

Jackson and Rye was a New York brasserie, bar and grill chain which served up American and French dishes and cocktails.

It was owned by Cote and in recent years its branches in nearby Chiswick, Kingston, Soho and Guildford closed.

This left just two of its restaurants - in the City of London and Richmond - but these have shut now too.

A message on the company's website reads We're sorry in capital letters.

"Unfortunately Jackson & Rye has now closed," it says.

"We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all of our customers over the years.

"Should you have any unclaimed gift vouchers, please get in touch by calling 020 3206 7940."

Jackson and Rye was rated 26th out of 119 restaurants in Richmond on TripAdvisor.
