The air ambulance landed on Radnor Gardens, on the Twickenham riverside, this morning after a man suffered a serious fall from scaffolding.

Emergency services were called to the incident, which happened shortly before 10am.

A London Ambulance spokesperson said: "We were called today at 9:51am to reports of an incident in Strawberry Vale, Twickenham.

"We sent a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, members of our hazardous area response team, an incident response officer, and a clinical team manager. We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance.

"We treated one man at the scene and took him to a major trauma centre as a priority."
