Paramedics were assaulted and stopped from treating their patient, Richmond Police said.
Officers from the emergency response team and crews from London Ambulance Service attended an incident on the evening of Thursday, June 25.
The force slammed the "unacceptable and disappointing" behaviour which prevented paramedics from doing their job.
It tweeted: "#ERTA attended a call in support of @Ldn_Ambulance overnight, where the #Ambulance crew were #assaulted & prevented from treating their patient.
"This is not acceptable & disappointing.
"The emergency services are all here to help & that's all we want to do, but this happens daily."
An assault on a member of the emergency services can result in stronger punishment under legislation from 2018.
The same evening, police arrested three men in Richmond town centre and recovered a knife which they described as "horrible".
