While everyone loves the view from Richmond Hill, taking a picture that does it justice is not always the easiest task.

But one keen photographer, Mathanga Gangatharan, has most certainly pulled it off.

"I actually happened to take this photo while on a stroll with my parents," she said.

"It was a very hot Friday and I dragged them up there after drinks by the river because I can't complete a trip to Richmond Riverside without stopping to admire the view from Richmond Hill.

"There's just something about the curve of the hill and the curve of the river against the horizon.

"I like how there's almost a gradient of green to grey, the contrast of greenery and concrete in London.

"Lockdown has definitely helped me to appreciate my surroundings a lot more!"

Mathanga takes all her photos using a Samsung S10 phone.
