108-year-old Richmond firm puts head office up for sale

A Richmond business with more than a century of history has put its head office on the market.
Clover & Son, based on Bardolph Road, has listed its two-storey warehouse for sale with offers invited in excess of £1.5 million.

The 108-year-old paint company is selling its 2,639 sq ft office and warehouse, which comes with potential for residential or alternative use.
The site extends to approximately 0.08 acres and is available freehold.
Marketed by Di Properties Ltd, the building is not elected for VAT and is located around a 10-minute walk from North Sheen Station, with regular South Western Railway services.

The business was founded in 1917 by the Great-Grandfather of the current owners, Frederick Albert Clover.
His family had been previously involved with gas lamp lighting and FA Clover saw an opportunity to undertake the painting of their local gas works.
Clover & Son has been approached for comment on the decision to sell.
