General Election 2024: Richmond school to host hustings tonight for parliamentary candidates
Grey Court School in Ham is hosting a hustings for Richmond Park parliamentary candidates tonight (11 June) at 7:30pm.
The school's secondary and sixth-form politics students are inviting residents to come and hear what their candidates have to say ahead of the general election on 4 July.
Grey Court say: "We strongly believe that the opinions and voices of local people need to be heard, especially as Richmond Park is a marginal seat."
The school confirms that it has extended invitations to all Richmond Park candidates so that they have a chance to present their plans for the area and take questions from the audience.
From 7:30pm to 7:45pm, each candidate will give a two minute speech to the audience and then from 7:45pm to 8:10pm, questions will be put forward to the parliamentary hopefuls by the school's moderator.
Questions put to the candidates have been submitted in advance, but from 8:10pm to 8:40pm the moderator will take questions from those in attendance.
