Enjoy rugby nights at this Richmond restaurant

Long before the whistle blew, there was another kind of battle line.
Rangroot takes its name from the Punjabi soldiers, the Rangroots - who carried their homeland's spice tins into the barracks of Yangon, and out of hardship built something extraordinary: a cuisine of resilience, invention, and quiet defiance.
Every dish on our menu is a small act of memory. Every gathering at our table is an act of belonging.
Rugby asks for the same things war once did of them - discipline, brotherhood, the will to hold the line when it matters most.
This season, we bring the two stories together. Not as a gimmick, but as a fitting tribute: two traditions built on grit, forged under pressure, and best shared among people who understand what it costs to stand and fight for something.
This is Rugby lunch at Rangroot.
Not A Sports Bar. A Destination
Rugby lunch at Rangroot means the match on a crisp screen, framed by candlelight and copper - while a curated menu, drawn from regimental recipes and refined for the modern table, moves course by course through the ninety minutes.
Papad baskets in place of nachos. Lamb Seekh Kebab in place of wings.
A Chai Brûlée at the final whistle, not a bar tab. We've built an experience for those who love the game as much as they love the table it's watched from - where the roar of the crowd meets the hush of fine dining, and neither has to give ground to the other.
Two courses, £35. Three courses, £40. Every match. Every seat is considered. Every detail is intentional.
The Fixtures
Four nights. Four reasons to gather.
- England vs Australia — Saturday 8 November
- England vs Japan — Friday 14 November
- England vs New Zealand — Saturday 21 November
- Nations Championship Finals — Thursday 27 – Saturday 29 November
An Evening, Curated
A menu built for the occasion. From Crispy Aloo Tikki Chaat to Rangroot Gosht, slow-braised on the bone - dishes designed to be shared between tries, not rushed between overs.
A table, not a stool. Seating is limited by design. We do not overfill a room to chase covers; we set a table worth arriving early for.
A room that remembers why you came. Warm light, considered service, and a story on the walls worth reading between tries.
This Is Not A Walk-In Event
Tables for Rugby lunches are limited, and they do not last. These are among the most requested seats on our calendar — the intersection of two devoted followings, rugby and fine dining, converging on six nights a year.
If you know the date you want, do not wait for the week of. Secure your place at the table now, and let the countdown do the rest.
