Threat of fines for parking on the grass in Richmond Park

A warning telling motorists not to park on the grass in Richmond Park has been issued by police.

For a second straight day, car parks in the park hit capacity well before midday.

Royal Parks Police said: "Please be advised that the car parks in #RichmondPark are full and you may not get parked.

"Fines will be issued to those parking on the grass."

The Royal Parks said: "Car parks are full and many of the roads around Richmond Park are congested or becoming busy.
