These are the café and restaurant staff who are working to keep Richmond well fed over lockdown.

We took a walk around town and found an abundance of delicious dishes for sale.

So if you're looking for something to lift your spirits and support a local independent business at the same time, a takeaway meal could be just the ticket.

The Retreat Kitchen

Hill Rise is a foodies' haven and this vegan cafe is offering its full menu over lockdown. Daily specials are posted on its Instagram page; today is lentil dahl.

They also cook a soup of the day and bake a wide range of plant-based sweet treats. They're open six days a week (Tuesday to Sunday) from 9am-4.30pm each day. A click and collect service is available when you order through the Hopt app.

A Cena

Husband-and-wife team Tom and Jade run this restaurant at the foot of Richmond Bridge.

Richmond Nub News popped in to say hello and we could hardly have timed our visit better: today they launched their new lunch special of toasted ciabatta rolls with Iberico ham.

In a video posted on the restaurant's Instagram, Tom said: "We have some absolutely mindblowingly delicious Iberico ham that we're carving off the bone."

The ciabatta sandwiches are toasted and served garnished with butter, olive oil, mozzarella and pecorino cheese. A Cena is also selling 100g packs of the ham for £10.

Chez Lindsay

Feeling flat? Pick up a pancake!

This French creperie runs a street-facing stall where you can pop by and watch its crepier Franck in action, or order and let them deliver to your door.

A special survive lockdown leaflet tells customers: "Our super tasty, healthy galettes are made from pure buckwheat, gluten-free and filled with top quality fresh ingredients.

"Our crepes are sweet pancakes with a choice of delicious toppings - a bit naughty but so very nice!

"Chef Franck will will also be preparing his plat du jour (dish of the day) along with a vegan option and our famous onion and fish soups and frites.

"Bon appetite!"

You can find Chez Lindsay on Hill Rise - opposite The Kitchen Retreat.

Caffe Paola

Nextdoor, you'll find this cafe which is a real treat for the eyes.

It looks truly stunning and customers can pop in and grab a bite to eat on the go.
