Tomorrow is World Car Free Day (Tuesday, September 22).

To mark the occasion, Richmond Park MP Sarah Olney is encouraging everyone to leave their cars at home.

She has also asked residents to send in pictures of their car-free journeys which she will build into a collage and share later in the week.

Sarah said: "Now more than ever, it is important we all consider alternative more active and less polluting forms of transport.

"Obviously this won't be possible for everyone, but if those who are able, choose to leave their cars at home, it can make a huge difference to the congestion and air pollution challenges we see across the area.

"So I am encouraging everyone to consider scooting to school, walking to work or cycling to college to mark World Car Free day. I am looking forward to seeing the photos of people taking up this challenge."

You can send your pictures to Sarah via her email address at: [email protected]
