Vehicles are not being allowed into Richmond Park today after a morning of heavy snowfall.

The Royal Parks, which manages Richmond's Royal Parks, said it was closing the gates to motorists.

"We're closing the inbound gates at Richmond Park and Bushy Park imminently, the volume of snow is overcoming the treatment laid down," the charity said.

"Teams working to rectify but this is a very heavy fall.

"More updates as we have them, please take care."

Visitors are still allowed to visit by foot as the pedestrian gates will remain open.
