Man suffers head wound and is taken to hospital after attack

A man was taken to hospital after an assault which led to the closure of a Richmond restaurant.

Police set up a cordon around Chatora on Kew Road after the incident yesterday evening.

Crime scene investigators were also called to the scene.

A police car remained parked in the bus stop with its blue lights flashing for at least three hours.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "Police attended Kew Road yesterday at 5.09pm after reports of an assault.

"One male has been taken to hospital after sustaining a wound to the head.

"At this time no arrests have been made and this crime scene has been closed.

"If you witnessed this incident or can provide more information contact police on 101 and refer to CAD5559/08AUG20."
