A man was today sentenced for attacking two cyclists in Richmond Park.

The prosecution was brought by Royal Parks Police for assaults against two cyclists, both men, aged 28 and 35, at 2.15pm in April.

Their injuries were not life-threatening.

Parks police said: "Stephen Diaz, 60, of East Sheen, has today been found guilty of common assault on two cyclists in #RichmondPark which occurred on 10/04/20.

"He was given a conditional discharge and £600 costs by Wimbledon Magistrates' Court."

This means Diaz will face punishment if he commits a further offence within a timeframe set by the court.
