An inquest into the death of a woman in her 50s on the A316 in Richmond will be held next week.

The woman was riding a bicycle when she was in collision with a car at 4.30pm on Tuesday, March 30.

She was taken to a central London hospital but sadly died the following day.

Bouquets of flowers and tributes remembering her as "the best mum, friend, wife, sister and teacher" have been left at the scene.

The collision happened near Richmond Athletic Ground and led to the closure of the road in both directions for around five hours.

The inquest will be opened and adjourned at West London Coroners' Court on Tuesday, April 13.

Police closed the road as multiple emergency service crews attended

Police said the driver of the car stopped at the scene. Anyone who saw the collision who has not yet spoken to officers, or who has dashcam footage which may assist the investigation, is asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 020 8543 5157.
