The block of toilets at the Ham Gate entrance to Richmond Park has been closed.

The nearest open toilets can now be found at Kingston and Petersham gates and they're open from 8am until 7pm every day.

There are further toilets at Peg's Pond near the Isabella Plantation and Pembroke Lodge tearooms.

The Ham toilets were closed to let the Royal Parks charity "focus its remaining resources and service levels on the areas of greatest demand in order to provide the best possible visitor experience".

"We have implemented all necessary measures to protect our visitors' safety and to provide a safe working environment for our attendants," Royal Parks said.

"During periods when the toilets are cleaned, we will temporarily close access to the facilities until cleaning is safely completed.

"We will keep our toilet provision under constant review."
