CNC Setter Operator
20 Hourly
5 axis setter operator CNC machining centre opportunity within this subcontract precision engineering company.
A 38-hour week with a 12pm finish on Fridays
25 days' holiday plus bank holidays

Key responsibilities Set and operate 5-axis machining centres (Mazak Integrex and/or DMG Mori experience desirable) Produce components to engineering drawings, specifications and tight tolerances Select and set tooling and workholding equipment Carry out in-process quality checks using standard measuring equipment Work with a range of materials. Complete basic machine alignments as required Comply with Health & Safety requirements at all times Maintain ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards throughout the process
Skills & experience Apprentice-trained or time-served engineer (City & Guilds or BTEC level preferred) Proven experience setting and operating 5-axis CNC mills or machining centres in a precision engineering environment Good understanding of control software. Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings High attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality Able to work independently with minimal supervision and contribute positively to a team Flexibility with working hours when required to meet customer deadlines
