Grand reopening for Richmond's Off the Rails jazz club

Off the Rails Jazz Club is reopening after a major refurbishment of its base at 1 Kew Road, Richmond, during the months of October and November. The premises has now been re-designated as All Bar One. The owners of the building, formerly the Station Hotel, are committed to the building's historic role as a music venue. In the. early Sixties it hosted the famous Crawdaddy Club, where the Rolling Stones played their early gigs. Live contemporary jazz resumes on 8 December with the band Lydian Collective..

There's a special significance in presenting Lydian Collective for this event, since the band was the first ever act to appear at Off the Rails back in 2021. The Lydian Collective sound is a unique combination of accessible melodies, accomplished musicianship, hypnotic rhythms and an uplifting vibe, which has already been drawing in audiences from around the world. With over six million Spotify streams and more than two million YouTube views, this London-based instrumental jazz/fusion quartet have established themselves as a musical tour de force in the UK and beyond.

Their debut album 'Adventure' was released in March 2018. Within days, it reached the top 10 in the iTunes, Amazon, Google Play and Bandcamp Jazz charts, and had extensive official playlisting on several Spotify editorial favourites, including State of Jazz, Fusion Fest, and Jazz UK. BBC Radio 3's Nick Luscombe called the album 'Life affirming music'.
