An elderly woman has been taken to hospital after a fall at her home in Richmond.

Police assisted the ambulance service in responding to the medical emergency.

The force tweeted: "South Richmond officers have assisted with a medical emergency for an elderly lady that had fallen and was trapped inside her home.

"With the help from @Ldn_Ambulance she has been taken to hospital for treatment."
