Three young people have set their minds to raise money for a Richmond charity supporting children with additional needs and disabilities.

Rosie, 16, Rudi, 16 and Xavie, 18, have decided to complete 15 challenges in aid of Skylarks charity as part of its 15th birthday celebrations.

Skylarks is a Richmond-based charity that supports children with disabilities and additional needs and their families.

Rosie loves music, singing and drama. She lives in South London and loves spending time with friends. She has been diagnosed with a chromosome deletion, as well as autism and cerebral palsy, is full of tenacity and is embarking on a mission to celebrate and raise funds by singing 15 songs.

The creative and varied list, chosen by Rosie, includes songs from some of her favourite artists including Paloma Faith and Adele!

When asked about Skylarks, Rosie says: "Amazing… It's fantastic. I don't know what I'd do without Skylarks. It's been lovely being there."

Rudi, loves cycling and playing with his pet puppy, and has a rare genetic condition called Pallister Killian Syndrome. He is fundraising for Skylarks by riding 150km on his trike!

And Xavie loves singing and dancing, and has Sotos Syndrome and autism. He is raising funds by singing 15 songs for Skylarks, including a planned duet with Rosie this summer.

Xavie's Mum said: "It was a landmark moment joining Skylarks. Xavie could finally play freely, be himself and not be judged."

Skylarks was founded in 2006 and provides activities and therapies for children with disabilities and additional needs. Rosie, Rudi and Xavie are three of the charity's many beneficiaries, along with their families.
