Richmond Rugby Club has announced more than 280 donations have been made since they launched their tech drop-off point two weeks ago.

The donations include a wide-range of working laptops and tablets which have been professionally wiped clean, updated and refurbished by project partner Veritas Digital Services.

The devices are now being delivered to local schools, for redistribution to students and their families who require the tech to continue their education at home.

The schools which have received donations so far include:

  • Grey Court School
  • Twickenham Primary School
  • Hampton Junior School
  • Hampton High
  • East Sheen Primary School
  • Barnes Primary School
  • St Mary's Primary School Twickenham
  • Bishop Perrin Primary School
  • Marshgate Primary School

Richmond Rugby's head of community Dom Palacio said: "We have been blown away by the incredible generosity and support of those who have donated tech so far.

"The response has been enormous and will prove hugely significant to supporting local children with their education during such a challenging time.

"Our thanks must go to Veritas Digital Services who have responded swiftly to the large amount of tech sent their way, and to our club volunteers who have once again stepped forward to support others."

Richmond's tech drop-off point takes place every Saturday from 11am-1pm at the Athletic Ground. They are collecting working laptops and tablets with charger cables.
