Richmond restaurant launches Aussie BBQs on the river

Richmond residents can now enjoy Aussie BBQs down by the Thames every Friday.

Fans of Richmond Antipodea may have already visited the new restaurant site down in Radnor Gardens in Twickenham. Now the team is also running BBQs every Friday (weather dependent!) from 5pm until 9pm.

There are Australian-inspired burgers, sausages, halloumi burgers and vegan options every Friday paired with Aussie beers and wine.

The BBQs launched last week and Operations Director Luke Jenkins said the first one went down well, with long queues forming beside the BBQ.

The restaurant opened up last month and has been very popular so far.

Antipodea has other branches in Kew and Richmond, and Jenkins describes Radnor Gardens as the "day time version" of its other sites.

For him the new restaurant in Twickenham is all about two things: amazing brunch and amazing coffee.
