Three occupants of a car parked on Richmond Riverside have been fined by police.

A ban on parking along the riverside came into effect in September when the council made the area subject to a new restricted parking zone.

The police, however, said the occupants of the car were fined over a breach of coronavirus regulations.

South Richmond Police said: "Enforcement Richmond Riverside!

"Car parked up on the riverside.

"Three occupants all from different households, given a Fixed Penalty Notice due to breaching current Covid-19 regulations."
